ABSTRACT
Audio signals need to be transmitted from one place to another both over short distances to a single destination during the production process and over long distances to many destinations during broadcasting. In television the audio and video signals will frequently be combined in some way. In this chapter the principles of audio routing and broadcasting in the context of television will be treated along with the important means of synchronization needed.
