ABSTRACT

Principal photography is the harder task of stereo cinematography, and this subject could fi ll up a whole book by itself. The point is, if you get it wrong at the camera stage, all the following steps will turn into a nightmare. Furthermore, the usual damage control tools that work in 2D to correct damaged footage will not work in 3D or will require tremendous additional manpower to look nice. Perfect stereo photography is not an easy task, and we’ll see how you can approach it and, eventually, reach it.
