Capture motion data while a performer is moving the stick around. Process the data and import it into your 3D application. Go to the first frame where you can see the three markers. Create joint j1 at marker m1, joint j2 at marker m2, joint j3 at marker m3, a bone between j1 and j2, and another

between j2 and j3. Let the position of joint j1 be constrained by the position of marker m1, the position of joint j2 by the position of marker m2, and the position of joint j3 by the position of marker m3. Play back the animation. You can see the rig with three joints being animated by the mocap data. If you like, create a skin geometry and bind it to the rig.
