ABSTRACT

Curve construction involves some simple mechanical drawing. If you’ve never done it before, a few suggestions may be in order. I recommend that you use the inexpensive and widely available graph paper with four squares to the inch. You’ll also need a few basic tools: a small drawing board, a small T-square, an 8-or 10-inch 60°/30° triangle, a French curve, compasses, a ruler (preferably one with both inch and metric scales), drafting or masking tape, scissors, pencils, and an eraser. All of these items can be purchased at an art supply store.
