ABSTRACT
In its modern form, statistical process control (SPC) has been available for nearly 70 years. It is a form of charting, based on sound statistical principles, which allows us to see how product or service processes are performing. Not only can SPC tell us when something is going wrong or beginning to go wrong, but when alarming changes occur, it can also tell us whether there is any point in trying to do something to remedy them.
