ABSTRACT
Process safety management (PSM) is a systems approach that identifies high-risk potential hazards, most of which were initially chemically related. Now the definition has been broadened to encompass any process where the hazard cannot be designed out or controlled by safety devices supported by warning devices or by detailed procedures or training.
