ABSTRACT
Imprinted in their genetic heritage, human beings have a dual focus developed to satisfy their need for security, both as individuals and as a species. The first aspect relates to their status as social beings who enjoy the company and proximity of others, while also having among their most basic and characteristic features the tendency to be competitive in all fields and areas of life.
