ABSTRACT

Product release plans provide the “big picture” for the evolution of a product. In order to actually implement the plan, a more fine-grained planning is needed to assign human resources to perform the individual tasks behind the selected features. Staffing for product releases relates to the question of how to organize this process. Software-based products often require very different technical and non-technical competencies ranging from communication, customization and learning to the application of the different techniques, methods and tools.
