ABSTRACT
Chapter 12 contains some relatively complicated equations. To the reliability engineer, as with any professional in his field, these equations are basic; to those in other disciplines, they can be intimidating. It is a formidable challenge to know when and how to apply the various reliability methods. Our task is to make the reliability equations user friendly, so that they can be learned and applied by those who are not reliability engineers.
