ABSTRACT
How do you know that the model you fitted actually fits well? At the core of our approach to the analysis of spatio-temporal data is a more or less detailed model containing statistical components that are designed to capture the spatio-temporal variability in the data. This chapter is about evaluating the spatio-temporal model that you fitted to describe (or to some extent explain) the variability in your data.
