This chapter primarily talks over several basic beverages and their remarkable potential in cancer prevention and antioxidation, as well as several other health-improving functions. Phytochemistry-combined chemical biology has provided extensive and solid research to support dietary intake of these beverages in human daily life. Results show that biologically active substances in these beverages are helpful in eliminating pathogenic factors early and improving health conditions. Keeping an effective level of bioactive substances in the body benefits the body’s natural protection against cancer. Based on study observations, this chapter affords some suitable advice for the daily serving sizes of these beverages, which are important both for receiving positive activities and for avoiding negative side effects. In the introduction part of this chapter, four kinds of oriental health-upgrading herbal teas are introduced—all of which are believed to be beneficial to augment body’s immune power and to resist cancer initiation and invasion.
