ABSTRACT
Cabomba caroliniana (Gray), commonly called fanwort, has become a serious submergent aquatic pest in lakes of northern Louisiana. It has reached harmful population levels in Black Lake, Saline Lake, and Lake Bisteneau, and it has been reported from all other major lakes in the area, including Toledo Bend Reservoir.
