ABSTRACT
The physiology of heat stress and heat resistance has been reviewed rather extensively in recent years. 41 , 42 , 501 - 504 Surprisingly, not much is known on the basic repercussions of heat stress in plants. Much research has been published on the various manifestations of heat stress at various levels of plant organization, but the basic understanding of the phenomenon is still limited.
