ABSTRACT
The nuclear power industry has a reputation for having some of the most sophisticated systems in place for managing operational safety. Based on the practices seen at the nuclear power station described in this chapter that reputation is not undeserved although, not all activities were as controlled by procedure or as tightly specified as some managers imagined.
