ABSTRACT
WHAT EXACTLY IS A SIMULATED PATIENT? A simulated patient is a person who pretends to be a patient (or, indeed, as we shall see, a relative or even a health practitioner), simulating health problems in order to offer health professionals an opportunity to develop, practise and be assessed on their consultation skills and providing feedback.
