Being a good functional storyteller means that you can take a set of objective parameters and devise a story that can fulfill that function. Objective-based storytelling occurs all the time in the world of marketing and advertising, where behavior modification for a very targeted demographic is the desired result. The following are three targeted exercises, with directions to test out your storytelling skills in this arena. When going over them, remember to structure your story based on the seven elements of storytelling and answer the following questions while you are constructing the story:
