ABSTRACT
After the physical examination, a range of diagnostic tests can be employed to move closer to a diagnosis. At the same time the patient must be treated. Both of these procedures require the clinical techniques to achieve the best outcome. This chapter describes the clinical techniques used in diagnostic testing and administering treatment. Interpretation of these tests and supportive care are described in later chapters.
