ABSTRACT
Command systems play important parts in the overall payload/user systems. The command component of the system has become more important because payloads are not necessarily passive devices. Rather, they interact with users when changing configurations, performing calibrations, sending data, or engaging in real time operations. It is not unusual for remote payloads, such as weather stations, to include communications interfaces to allow users to interact with the payload over a radio link, wireless telephone, or even Internet link to accomplish these tasks.
