ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will take a look at two important components in society today: agriculture and industry. Both important aspects of community, they are seeing trends in the color green these days. We will take a look first at agriculture and some of the positive environmental steps it is taking, such as employing sustainable practices, organic farming, community-based approaches, healthy land management practices, and green conservation measures. Following that, we will focus on industry and examine some of the exciting new trends emerging from that sector, including food security, ecologically sustainable development concepts, and eco-industrial parks (EIPs).
