ABSTRACT
In previous chapters the groundwater phenomenon was presented from the geological and hydrological points of view, in addition to some basic physical parameter definitions. These initial concepts help to assess in a region the reservoir material nature, aquifer, and flow types. It is possible to evaluate the available groundwater storage, flow directions, and recharge and discharge areas. All this information is essential for a comprehensive understanding of any groundwater flow phenomenon. However, it is not yet enough to quantify the groundwater motion problems, and especially their relation to the basic aquifer parameters.
