ABSTRACT
In Chapter 3, we described the main elements of the framework of random functions which is commonly used in FDA. In this Chapter, and in Chapter 11, we present the concepts introduced in Chapter 3 in much greater detail. These two chapters are recommended to readers who would like to gain a fairly solid grounding in the mathematical theory underlying FDA, but who do not wish to study extensive, and even more detailed, mathematical monographs
