ABSTRACT
This chapter will introduce the readers to transformers from the timeline, history, and its impact in the academic and industrial world. We will then lay out a complete roadmap based on the taxonomy and how each chapter renders from theory, practice, and application perspective. The chapter then proceeds with a comprehensive discussion on practical aspects such as resources, tools, books and courses that will be employed in other chapters.
