ABSTRACT
In the preceding chapter, we studied the fundamental properties of plasmas in thermodynamic equilibrium and in a stationary state. Another class of problems, related rather closely to the experimental aspects, is the transient processes in plasmas. It is the purpose of the present chapter to study some of the problems in this category, based on the Vlasov description of plasmas.
