ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the techniques for air pollution control and mitigation. The first part covers industrial air pollution, discussing conventional air pollution control using established engineering methods. This is followed by more planning oriented air pollution control and mitigation measures for ambient applications, both in indoor and outdoor environments. It captures some of the recent developments in systems thinking and nature-based solutions, presenting the state of the art and the way forward. A dedicated section on emission control from mobile sources has been provided in Chapter 5.
