ABSTRACT
Marsh sizing calculations leave the marsh creation team with a metaphorical blank canvas: all the details remain to be filled in. Internal marsh details interact strongly with water quality functions, and have pronounced effects on ecological values. Thus, the specification of internal details requires input from both engineers and ecologists, and increasingly ecological engineers.
