ABSTRACT
Local housing authorities (LHAs) are required to keep conditions in the housing stock under review and identify any action necessary, including under Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Housing Act 2004 and the Regulatory Reform (Housing Assistance) England and Wales Order 2002, which is to do with financial assistance for housing renewal.
By virtue of s.3 of the Act, LHAs must:
comply with any directions from the appropriate national authority (none yet given); and
keep records as required by the appropriate national authority.
