ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the numerical computation of the interaction parameter Gsc. The computation protocol consists in setting the SF = 1.0 and solving the unified equation fed with known long-term failure points. The failure points come from experimental ply regression equations measured at a fixed R ratio and constant loading frequency. There are seven experimental ply equations available at this time:
The pure static (R = 1.0) rupture line of UD plies loaded in the fiber direction.
The two cyclic rupture equations (R = 0.1 and R = 0.5) of UD plies loaded in the fiber direction at 20 Hz.
The two cyclic infiltration equations (R = 0.1 and R = 0.5) of transversely loaded UD plies at 20 Hz.
The pure static (R = 1.0) rupture equation for chopped fibers.
The cyclic (R = 0.1) rupture equation for chopped fibers.
