ABSTRACT
The investigation process consists of data collection, analysis and report writing. Insufficient data collection affects the quality of the investigation report. ICAO (2001) states that the outcome of an accident investigation depends on the skill and experience of the investigators assigned to it, and that investigators need not only technical skill, but also integrity and impartiality in collected data, logic and perseverance in pursuing contributing factors, and ability to relate well with people who were involved in the accident.
