ABSTRACT
Scenario development for exercises with a ship handling simulator is planned such that navigation difficulty increases gradually. In addition, exercises are implemented under navigational conditions that highlight the significance of bridge team activities and the necessary competency. This also includes maneuvering situations during pilot boarding, in addition to main engine and steering system malfunctions and abnormal behavior of other sailing ships, so the importance of the necessary competency for BTM/BRM is understood under various conditions.
