ABSTRACT

Nuisance aquatic plants are those that in some way cause serious problems in bodies of water. These problems can be either real or perceived. In different bodies of water the nuisance rating of a particular plant may change according to the intended use of the body of water. A plant may be a nuisance in one place because of coverage or volume infestation, but may be advantageous in another system because it provides cover and food for fishes and wildlife.
