ABSTRACT
This chapter presents a brief narrative on classical innovation principles from the perspective of systems thinking. The backdrop for the chapter includes progressive pursuits of innovation across technology, process enhancement, and workforce development. Basic definitions of innovation across systems of system boundaries are outlined in the chapter. Of particular utility is the presentation of individual hierarchy of needs within organizational needs.
