ABSTRACT
It was highlighted in Chapter 6 that to properly capture the behavior of a structure during seismic events, particularly of a historic tower, it is of paramount importance to take into account the interaction with the supporting soil and the effects related to soil conditions, that is, how soil properties may influence the input motion at the base of the tower.
