ABSTRACT
Alvarado and his brothers, together with others, have killed more than four or five million people in the fifteen or so years from 1524 to 1540 and they continue to kill or destroy those who are left. They have destroyed or devastated a kingdom [Guatemala] more than one-hundred leagues square, one of the happiest in the way of fertility and population in the world.
