The probability is the degree of confidence in the occurrence of events. It is the measurement of events. This measure being a number lies between 0 and 1. Thus,
P = 0 implies that the occurrence of the event is impossible
P = 1 implies that the occurrence of the event is certain
P = 0.5 implies that 50 percent chance for the event to occur.
