ABSTRACT
Optical, thermophysical, and mechanical data for a variety of optical materials are provided in this chapter. These generic data may be used as design guides, but it is essential to obtain precise data from the manufacturer of the specific material of interest for reliable information. Properties of a given material can vary widely depending on impurity levels, processing variables, precise composition, microstructure, degree of crystallinity, and state of internal strain.
