ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to use the material in the previous two chapters to describe how solutions to Diophantine equations can have some remarkable consequences for class numbers of quadratic fields. Conversely, divisibility properties for class numbers of quadratic fields have some consequences for the solutions of Diophantine equations.
