ABSTRACT
Physical and biological characteristics of radiofrequency used for dermatologic surgery are the typical fundamental features. Any radiofrequency surgery equipment has typical parts that remain the same for all, but what matters most when operating and delivering the best results are the exact radiofrequency in hertz, electrode size and shape, electrode contact time, power used, and waveform selected. For this, the basic functions that vary with different waveforms and the aforementioned particulars will be very helpful for varied applications with best results. Radiofrequency surgery works on the principle of electrothermal tissue effects and thus the applications and the results can be modified to the precise selection of waveform.
