The BSLC develops and coordinates innovative service-learning projects such as BIAP, which provides a common programmatic theme (human rights and immigration) for cross-disciplinary servicelearning. The image of Bentley College students on stage with Jose Ramos Horta-an activist whose ceaseless struggle on behalf of the East Timorese for independence from Indonesian oppression earned him the 1998 Nobel Peace Prize-challenges popular perceptions of students at a business college.
