Characteristics of High-Risk Families: Parental and Adolescent Perspectives

Now that we have reviewed some general issues concerning how we conceptualize and identify families at risk for adolescent maltreatment, we are ready to examine the families in our study. We do this in light of our efforts to integrate two frameworks, one that focuses on child and parental variables and a second that emphasizes the enduring and transient nature of risk factors.
