ABSTRACT
One cannot imagine state activity today without evaluation. It is thus all the more important that one ask how one can ensure quality in and of evaluation. After first addressing the concept of quality and its meaning for evaluation, this chapter presents instruments and procedures that can help to assure quality. Of particular relevance here are the evaluation standards developed by the Swiss Evaluation Society and how they have been applied in practice.
