ABSTRACT

2Landscape design studios aim to foster creativity and to help students to generate original design solutions. Here design as a process takes precedent over design as a product, even if the product is the concrete output of teaching and learning situation being provided by the studio. According to the underlying philosophy: it is unlikely that the design product will be able to be used again in another context, but the process—in some form at least—should be able to be adapted to new situations that will be encountered in the future.
