ABSTRACT
All too often in the transportation sector, professional; act as if the entire goal of the system is to get people and goods from point A to point B. That is an overly narrow and potentially negative approach to the role of transportation, particularly public transportation. Rather than thinking of transportation in terms of moving people and things from point A to point B, we should view the role of transportation as providing access to the goods, services, and experiences that enrich communities' lives.
