Concluding Remarks

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are wide-ranging and very ambitious – some would argue unattainable, especially by the year 2030, the target date for achievement of the goals. The scope and characteristics of the issues involved will vary widely by region, with those in developing countries, in particular, facing relatively complex challenges in seeking to make substantive progress toward these goals.
