ABSTRACT

It is critical for counselors to be aware of the multitude of shifts that occur within the mental health professions, particularly in the field of counseling. In our evidence-based society, it is essential for counselors in clinical practice to think beyond being a “consumer of research.” A concrete way for counselors to not only engage, but to also be at the forefront of professional changes, is through writing and presenting research. This chapter will provide counselors, counselor educators, and counselors in training the tools for developing their writing and presentation skills.
