ABSTRACT

This chapter focused on looking at different components in the career choice of individuals, interrelationships between work as a process of mental well-being, effects of technology and information systems, and introducing and familiarizing the reader with career assessment instruments. Also included in the chapter is information on developing career related programs. This chapter highlights planning and advocacy in regards to career and educational development for diverse populations. Information on ethical and cultural strategies for career development is carefully explored as sound ethical and cultural considerations that protect clients from harm and/or mistreatment.
