ABSTRACT
Prosody refers to suprasegmental features of speech, including tone, sentence prominence, word stress, pausing, speech rate, and pitch. Prosody extends over one single sound segment in an utterance and encompasses other suprasegmental aspects of speech such as pitch, tone, duration, intensity, and voice quality that may affect meaning (Chun, 2002).
