ABSTRACT
Social constructivism is well suited to address continuous changes in European integration. As political processes such as the 2008 economic crisis in Europe and Brexit show, theorising a polity in continuous transformation requires analytical approaches capable of grasping this social construction, its structures and agents. Despite such contributions to theorising European integration, core issues are neglected when social constructivism does not integrate gender.
