ABSTRACT
Even brief ways of modelling the ebb and flow of combat in cyberspace are useful. Modelling, and thereby understanding implications of actions and counteractions, promotes individual and collective learning and supports the formulation of corporate, governmental, and international policies, even norms of responsible state behaviour in cyberspace. Modelling also reminds us of the risks involved and caution needed when taking offensive action or responses.
