ABSTRACT
Miss Page’s ovation at the opening night of Vina Delmar’s Mid-Summer at the Vanderbilt theatre on January 21 was as close to tumultuous as reality ever is to Hollywood’s fantasies. There were even members of the audience who yelled “Bravo!,” too enthusiastic to care about any pedant who might remind them that the word should be “Brava” when addressed to a female performer.
