ABSTRACT
How can the use of art promote social justice? The arts have power to foster critical awareness and can afford different ways of knowing that may otherwise be dismissed, suppressed, or simply not noticed. Furthermore, the arts can have power to provoke emotional reactions and to move people towards reflection and action.
